It is through a process of engineering and fabrication that I create simple moving objects with seemingly life-like qualities - electromechanical life forms with motivations only just beyond our understanding. This work lies somewhere at the intersection of reductivist sculptural form and contemporary art that engages emergent technologies and the philosophy surrounding technology in society. It begins to challenge the notion that intrinsic, electrically programmed motivations of digital objects are somehow different, or separate from, the more familiar organic intentions of all living things . . .
